Signature Talks

  • Caught in a traumatic eviction with 30 abandoned girls in Nepal rife with bomb blasts and riots, Wai Jia’s heart was shattered. As an 18-year old, what could she do? Who would believe her to make any difference? In a miraculous turn of events, a little picture book she painted, called Kitesong, raised over $100’000 to purchase a permanent home for the girls and changed their lives forever.

In this talk, Wai Jia defies the world’s call to “dream big” and challenges us instead to believe in the power of small dreams, no matter how little we think we have to offer. Her journey of faith and courage back to the frontlines of the COVID-19 outbreak to ultimately the heart of Africa to save lives as a UNICEF/WHO consultant inspires all, young and old.

As she fans the spark in our hearts to a flame of courage, listeners are inspired to dream bravely and live boldly to change our world.

  • Having overcome anorexia, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder, Wai Jia’s life journey of adversity and strength, vulnerability and compassion, makes her a powerful and moving speaker. In this talk, she presents pain as life’s gift, to be leaned into and embraced with courage.

With her unrelenting passion, she inspires people to pursue their dreams with unabandoned fervor, no matter what their obstacles.

  • How does one leave the comforts of one’s home and security of a well-paying job to live with the poor? How does one abandon the prospects of a stable marriage to marry a high-risk candidate for illness? An extraordinary faith.

In this remarkable talk, Wai Jia shares astounding stories of faith and provision, vulnerability and courage that compels us all to a deeper faith, and a more wholehearted, surrendered life to fulfill one’s calling.

  • Changing the world is a tall order. Yet, life’s greatest successes are rarely achieved in a quantum leap, but through the little decisions made every day. By staying true to our values and embracing the constant of discomfort, Wai Jia inspires listeners to listen to the still small voice in their hearts to stay true to the song in their hearts.

In this simple but radical message, listeners will be challenged to push back the voices of naysayers and swim against the current. They will leave with practical handles on making decisions, big and small, with their end in mind.

In her words, “Saying yes is not easy, but it is simple.”
